Meeting the team is like spending quality time with your family

TEDxAUBG is not only famous for the inspiration and ideas it spreads at the conference every year, but also for the spirit it creates among its members in the process of creating a great event. This spirit is often described as welcoming, inclusive, and appreciation spreading.
After an uneasy recruitment process, this year, TEDxAUBG welcomed 12 new members on board! One semester was more than enough for them to pick up this spirit and start defining it as Amazing, Remarkable, or Magical.
Here is what some of our new members have to share on their experience in the club so far:

Why did you decide to join TEDxAUBG?
I have always enjoyed the idea behind TED talks. I like to listen to them in my spare time and tangle in the world of knowledge and experience they provide. Once I heard about TEDxAUBG I was immediately prone to apply.
What do you like the most about the club?
THE PEOPLE. They are so welcoming and nice that I feel like a part of a family.
Define your experience in TEDxAUBG in one word:
My experience so far has been “AMAZING” and I cannot wait for it to continue in an even more exciting way.

Why did you decide to join TEDxAUBG?
I wanted to be part of a club that reaches people on a global scale. Additionally, when applying, I liked that the club consists of fewer members, which allows each of us to leave a trace with our work.
What do you like the most about the club?
Definitely, the team that is being created. The club is filled with inspiring people I can learn a lot from, and everyone builds up a magical atmosphere in the club.

Why did you decide to join TEDxAUBG?
I wanted to take part in the magic that happens on the stage in April. I wanted to be a part of the greatness that this club actually is.
What do you like the most about the club?
The activities that the board organizes for us, the members. The pizza nights, the get-to-know-each-other games, the transparency, the teamwork, and mostly the genuine appreciation of the members! As obvious and insignificant as it may seem, this is actually rare to find. And that is why I genuinely love this club.
Define your experience in TEDxAUBG in one word: AccepTED. Because I genuinely feel accepted, not just formally.

Why did you decide to join TEDxAUBG?
I have always been interested in TED talks. I have been watching them since I was in 8th grade. So much so that l wanted to take part in the organization of such an event. TEDxAUBG was the best opportunity for me to do so!
What do you like the most about the club?
How warm and favorable the atmosphere is. We are very productive and at the same time we are having so much fun with all of the members. Meeting the team is like seeing your family and spending quality time with it.
